From a personal dream to an authentic community
Café del Mars was born from the vision of founders Bogdan Paul Căian and Diana Vlad to create a completely unique space. Our mission is to blend a specialty coffee shop, a vibrant art gallery, and an elegant cocktail bar. We are the hub that brings together music, art, and delicious treats in a single space dedicated to Cluj's wonderful community.
Born from Passion: Café del Mars
With over 14 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Bogdan has worked in renowned bars both in Romania and abroad—including the iconic Café del Mar in Ibiza, a place that profoundly shaped his perspective on hospitality and bar atmosphere. The name Café del Mars beautifully connects this defining experience with Mars, Bogdan’s dog, who is known for his natural ability to bring people together and foster a true sense of community. Bogdan has won prestigious bartending competitions, including Jameson Romania and Absolut Romania, and is a graduate of the Jameson Academy in Ireland.
After years enriched by experiences, people, and stories, his dream took shape as a venue with a soul, where music, creativity, and hospitality meet effortlessly—and that is how Café del Mars was born.
